Welcome to our ‘Meet the Team’ series! Here at Camozzi, our Application & Automation Centre is the heartbeat of our technical operations. Our friendly Application Team is your go-to for all things technical, control panel and project, while our Automation Team is busy building the control panels that drive our industrial solutions. Let’s take a closer look at the talented people making it all happen.

Tom Atkins – Senior Technical Applications Engineer
Tom has been an integral part of the Camozzi team for 10 years. In his role, he does it all – from visiting customers on site and solving technical challenges, to collaborating with our colleagues in Italy and offering practical, innovative solutions for both new and existing customers.
When it comes to his day-to-day work, Tom is always on the move. Whether he's answering calls, sending emails, or hopping onto a Teams call, he’s dedicated to ensuring our customers get the best technical support possible. He also plays a key role in our Automation Centre, reviewing new products, checking control panel builds, and guiding special assemblies.
Outside the office, Tom enjoys keeping active at the gym and on the football pitch – and he swears by his air fryer as the gadget he simply can’t live without. One memorable project he recalls is the control panel he helped create for a log flume ride at a well-known theme park, a fun and challenging build that truly highlights his knack for problem solving.

Mark Clifton - Head of System Builds and Assembly at the Automation Centre
Mark Clifton has been with us for nearly three years, leading the system builds and assembly team at our Automation Centre. His main focus is ensuring every project runs smoothly and on schedule, while looking after the rest of the Automation Centre Team.
Mark is all about efficiency – he even swears by his trusty hole punch, a tool he describes as a lifesaver when it comes to working with metal. His hands-on approach not only keeps projects running smoothly but also creates a supportive and productive work environment.
Outside the office, Mark enjoys a bit of gardening and DIY, often getting creative by building projects from reclaimed wood. When it comes to engaging with customers, he ensures our displays and projects clearly showcase the quality and capability of our panels. This practical involvement helps clients understand exactly what our automation centre is capable of.

Mike Rollason - Systems and Assembly Supervisor
Mike has been with Camozzi for 12 years, playing a key role in constructing and assembling our panels and systems. In his role, he not only builds the panels but also helps the team with the pneumatic aspects, ensuring every detail is spot on.
Mike is a big fan of his Electronic Vernier – a tool he calls an engineer's best mate for measuring and getting things done accurately. He finds real satisfaction in drawing up a pneumatic layout, assembling the panel, and then seeing it work perfectly by the end of the day.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys a variety of hobbies. He’s just getting back into clay pigeon shooting, a pastime he’s enjoyed on and off for about 15 years, and he also builds model kits in his spare time. Mike also values the customer feedback he receives during visits to our facility – it’s all part of making sure we continue to deliver top-notch automation solutions at Camozzi.

Mark Thompson – Applications Engineer
With over 20 years at Camozzi, Mark brings a wealth of experience to our team. His day-to-day work involves supporting area sales managers, drawing up circuits, and solving technical challenges as they arise.
Mark also plays a key role in supporting the Camozzi Automation Centre by discussing drawings and sharing insights on panel builds, whether for electrical or pneumatic circuits.
Off the clock, Mark is an avid angler who enjoys fishing—a hobby that offers him a refreshing break and a chance to recharge.

Martin Wilson – Control Panel Builder
Martin has been a key part of our Automation Centre for six years, specialising in building high-specification panels that always go out on time. He’s all about efficiency – his trusty hole punch is his secret weapon, saving time and making tough jobs easier.
Martin enjoys the variety in his role, where every day brings a new challenge, and he appreciates working alongside a dedicated team. Outside of work, he values quality family time and recalls his days on the football pitch as a right-back with fondness.
Martin loves showing customers the different variations of panels we create. Cheers to Martin for his commitment and the quality he brings to our team.

Andy Kirby - Applications Engineer
Andy Kirby has been with Camozzi for 2½ years– providing technical support and designing bespoke systems. He enjoys visiting customers as it gives him a firsthand look at their operations and helps tailor the best solutions.
At Camozzi, Andy is the go-to person when it comes to creating detailed drawings and guiding the Automation Centre on what to build. He’s often the first port of call for quality checks, ensuring everything runs smoothly before projects are shipped out.
Outside of work, Andy enjoys football, fishing, cars, and travelling – a mix of interests that keeps his life as varied as his role. Andy’s technical expertise and customer-first approach make him a key asset to our team.

Anthony Hill - Systems and Assembly Team Member
Anthony Hill has been a key part of Camozzi for 11 years. His main role involves assembling components from our warehouse into plug-and-play units, providing customers with ready-to-use systems rather than isolated parts. Anthony’s work isn’t just about putting pieces together – he enjoys tackling challenging projects, such as building rodless cylinders, which really put his skills to the test.
When he’s not busy at work, Anthony loves taking walks, especially to The Peak District, where the steep climb and stunning views provide a perfect escape. He also values spending quality time with family and friends.
Always ready to help, Anthony is often the go-to person for customer queries about spare components or replacements. His practical approach and friendly demeanour make him an invaluable member of the team at Camozzi.

Andy Renshaw – Applications Support
Andy Renshaw has been an integral part of the Camozzi team for just over four years. In his role, he specialises in creating precise 3D and 2D technical drawings, and designing individual parts for manufacture. Andy’s vernier calliper is his indispensable tool, essential for ensuring accuracy in every project.
He particularly enjoys supporting the sales team by answering technical inquiries and sharing his expertise, helping them to better assist our customers. Now working internally after a long career as a field representative, Andy appreciates the balance his role provides.
Outside of work, he’s passionate about motorbike touring across Europe, cherishing family time with his grandchildren, and following Aston Villa. His technical skill and rich experience makes him a valued member of our team.
